A bit of luxury to kick things off
We left home just after 2.00 am. Yesterday was beautiful Hannah’s 18th birthday. So lots of festivities. Mum & Dad are holding the fort while we are away. We officially handed over the master bedroom to Mum & Dad yesterday and so I slept on the floor with the boys and Lara slept with Gracie. Sleeping with the boys was like the boys dorm at Beach Mission - lots of laughs and banter. There was even talk of making it a weekly activity! Saying our good-byes this morning was very hard. Fair to say that we both hated leaving. We are definitely home-bodies. We got picked up in a big fat Caprice (per kind favour Emirates) and we checked in without incident. We kept expecting them to send us back to economy check-in, but they didn’t! So, we waited for the customs area to open. With our express departure cards in hand we headed willfor the Emirates First-Class lounge. We so appreciated every one of Lara’s carefully preserved frequent flier points. The trip to India w...
